The new design has a formal, symmetrical structure softened by planting and the use of sympathetic materials, plus a couple of little twists to the symmetry to make life more interesting. The photographs were taken within a year of completion and the garden already looks perfectly at home in its setting.
This charming little country house needed a garden to match. The existing garden detracted from the pleasing symmetry of the house. The grass was very poor and uneven and the new fence dominated the garden – a common problem! There were a range of plants within the garden and a need to decide which to keep and which to remove.
