Gardens are brought to life by birds, butterflies, bees, damsel flies, hedgehogs and many others. We like to incorporate plants which offer sources of food for wildlife throughout the year, and also design to provide shelter and a range of habitats to increase biodiversity. In particular, we follow guidance from Bumblebee Conservation Trust on which flowering plants will best sustain our essential and diminishing bumblebee population. If you would like to incorporate a wildflower meadow, wildlife pond, bog garden, berries for the birds or plants to attract butterflies and bees Ivy Maud Design can help – no matter how big or small your garden is.
A great website is Ispotnature.org, a friendly community website helping to identify wildlife and share nature. To get involved visit their website.
