Welcome to Ivy Maud Design

Ivy Maud Design is a creative garden design and landscaping practice based in rural Stirlingshire. We cover a wide area across Scotland including Perthshire, Central Scotland and the Borders, providing garden design, build and planting services uniquely tailored to your needs.

The gardens we create are all bespoke, designed to fulfil the unique aspirations of their owners, and range from large traditional country gardens and family gardens to small front gardens.

We are passionate about the environment and wildlife and love to design outdoor spaces and planting that will enhance and nurture biodiversity and thrive in our changing climate. We aim to design sustainably, thinking carefully about the materials and approaches we use. We work closely with a team of skilled contractors and gardeners and support local nurseries and plant specialists.

Throughout the design process we will work closely with you to ensure the service we provide and the garden we create is exactly right for you.

Ivy Maud Design was established in 2008 and is owned by award-winning designer Jayne Whitehead. Jayne offers bespoke garden design, landscaping and planting services to create stunning gardens you’ll love to explore and enjoy all year round.

Kind Words

"Jayne has created a lovely garden from a sea of mud and builders’ rubble. The garden sits well in our country house setting and compliments our house beautifully. It also meets our requirements for something easy to maintain. All in all we are thrilled with Jayne and her team’s work and are looking forward to sitting taking in our stunning new surroundings."

"I cannot thank Jayne enough for her advice and help, planning my 3 acres of walled garden. She listened to the flowers I liked and the colours I wanted, and with great consideration of the position of the garden and the soil, came up with what is turning out to be a perfect design... I could not have managed it all without her, and she was a pleasure to work with."

"Jayne planned a garden exactly to our specification, using existing materials and providing us with a low maintenance garden in sympathy with the house. She provided excellent planting notes and guidance on follow up care of the garden... and hopefully will be planning another garden for us in our new house."
