The White Garden

A sophisticated and sociable garden for a contemporary house Our client had just moved from a large, traditional garden and wanted to create something special in the ‘blank canvas’ plot around her brand-new home. The design combines traditional and abundant planting with some more contemporary elements such as the garden office, and provides lots of sociable spaces to enjoy as the sun moves round the garden. An aspiration for a White Garden was a really interesting challenge, enabling us to focus on texture and shades of green, as well as subtle touches of colour such as plum-coloured stems and leaves. A simple rill and water feature were included to create movement and sound on the sunny terrace. The result is a very welcoming garden which can easily accommodate a party whilst looking stylish and sophisticated.
